Who is Dr. Roger Wen?

Dr. Wen began teaching at William Woods University in 2003, earned his bachelor of Business Administration and M.S. degree in Human Resources and Instructional Technology at Pittsburgh State University and his Ph.D. (2000) in Technology Teaching with a support area in Information Science at the University of Missouri - Columbia. Dr. Wen's dissertation and area of expertise are related to Internet dependent learning and teaching. --Education
Dr. Wen holds Missouri Business Teacher certification, networking and technical training and certifications, passed ETS principal and superintendency exams. Wen also holds eMINTS national center's highest EIS certification as well as Intel Master trainer and Cognitive Coaching certificate. During his program of study at the University of Missouri, Wen served as a research assistant, teaching assistant,multimedia technologist, videographer, as well as an authoring program designer. --Expertise
Before coming to WWU, Wen was the director of the Educational Technology Center at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College managing 10 electronic distance learning H.323 video conferencing campuses/systems, established and managed online learning infrastructure and WebCT system, campus website, campus computing support, faculty training, library system, and established the first campus-wide wireless environment and mobile computing for all faculty/students in Mid-America (2001). In addition to teaching graduate education programs, he was the Director of Instructional Technology in charge of campus Assessment System and iTunes U services between 2003 and

Currently, Wen is an Tenured Associate Professor of education and business and Doctoral Faculty member, and accepted the position of the Dean of Online Campus / Associate Academic Dean in charge of Online Campus at WWU at the end of 2011. Wen believes that technology can be a wonderful tool to assist the process on bringing education to another level and provide different aspects to the human experience. When using the technology, Wen believes we also need to provide access to mankind and share the wisdom and transfer learning/knowledge to the next generation. --Current Position and Beliefs
